Turned sycamore fruit bowl, beautiful markings, turned wood, spalted wood, serving piece, decorative piece, discount marked wood, hot off the lathe

This is a beautiful sycamore bowl with outstanding markings and distinct color variations providing plenty of interest! It would be perfect for personal use or as a nice gift. The wood was rough-turned and then dried for about a year. I finish turned it to its discount final beauty then sanded it before applying several coats of Danish oil followed by my own mixture of mineral oil, beeswax and fine pumice. Finally, it received a good buffing with carnauba wax giving it a soft glossy sheen. The bowl is food safe. It measures 3 inches tall by 10 inches wide x 3/8 inches thick. As with all of my pieces, this bowl is not immersible in water and cannot be placed in the microwave or dishwasher. Should its luster begin to fade, lightly spray a lint-free cloth with furniture polish or foodsafe wood conditioner and wipe the entire surface of the bowl.
