Set of 4 Table Mats discount made from natural and dyed Merino wool fibre; abstract design placemats, luxury dining mats

These four placemats are the perfect addition to your dining experience, bringing warmth and depth to any table setting. As a decoration they will suit any classic or contemporary furniture, providing heat resistance as the thick felt is designed to protect your furniture from heat marks. None of them is the same because of changes in the position and colour of the circles, and the flowing charcoal coloured lines that give each piece movement, drawing the eye across the artworks.

The set of four aren't exactly the same as they have been made from fibres laid out by hand, with embellishments of silk, dyed Merino, Swedish linen, organza and netting. Once the abstract shapes have been placed I then wet felted them until they are fully shrunk. Spillages should just sit on the surface for quick removal by kitchen roll, but if there is a need to wash them do so by hand with a non-bio laundry liquid (which is what I used to make them). discount Pull back into shape after gently squeezing the water out, and dry flat.

The word ‘unique' is overused in today's society but, in the case of this set of dining table mats, you will not find any others like it in the world - that's the beauty of making felt by hand- like artworks, as a felt artist I am making something unique each time.

Merino wool might be soft, but is also durable, eco friendly, heat resistant and anti-microbial, making it highly suitable as a table mat. There's no stitching to come undone so will last as an heirloom to hand down, and the surfaces are not slippery, like melamine, or hard, like slate; just warm, soft and favourable.
