To create these boards, I first mill logs from my family farm and turn them into large slabs. Each slab is then naturally air dried for 2-3 years to reduce the moisture content within the fibers of the wood. This is important step to make sure that these boards will not warp over time! Once the slabs are dry I bring them into my personal wood shop and begin laying out the cuts. After running the wood through the saw each board gets a handle carved into one end. Finally, I sand the entire board up to 400 grit to ensure that there are no sharp edges!
These boards are 16 inches long X 6 1/4 inches wide X 3/4 inch thick.
Your board will arrive pre-oilled and ready to use! I use high-quality food safe oil, made from a combination of beeswax and mineral oil.

*** BOARD CARE *** DO NOT SOAK IN WATER OR USE DISH SOAP. DO NOT PLACE IN DISHWASHER. IF BOARD NEEDS CLEANING USE A MIXTURE OF WHITE VINEGAR AND WATER ON A TOWEL AND WIPE THE SURFACE CLEAN.
THE BOARD SHOULD BE KEPT OILED. THIS DOESN'T NEED TO BE DONE AFTER EACH USE, BUT RATHER WHEN YOU FEEL THE SURFACE IS DRYING OUT OR YOU CAN'T SEE A SHEEN.
WHEN APPLYING OIL YOU WANT TO USE PLAIN MINERAL OIL. WIPE ON ALL OVER AND LET SOAK FOR AN HOUR, THEN WIPE OFF EXCESS.
