Original, Hand-painted, Cozy Cabin Sunset View Acrylic Painting. This cozy and comforting piece of wall art was created on a hexagon-shaped canvas to evoke the feeling of sitting inside, watching the blaze of magnificent colors of a sunset through a window. I was able to achieve this effect by blocking off portions of the canvas using painter's tape, painting the scene, then carefully removing the tape to show to parts of the canvas left bare, giving the illusion of window panes. I also used an iridescent medium in the paints to give it a shimmer effect in the light.
