This wall weaving was handmade on a loom (see photo of work in progress).
After having tied its long wool and raffia fringes on a linen warp, I woven different wools, wick wools, fleeces, spun wools, fabrics ... The whole giving a very soft texture that we want to caress .
To add a more feminine, more romantic side, I sewed 1 handmade flower in navy blue and turquoise tulle and organza.
I made sure to harmonize the colors of the fringes with those of the weaving, in shades of deep blue, navy blue and turquoise blue in particular.
Then I tied the tapestry to a plaited wooden support, the whole thing being able to be hung on the wall by a raffia ribbon,.
The wall weaving measures:
- 29 " or 74cm long (weaving + fringes)
- 11 " or 27 cm wide.
The wooden support: - 14" or 35 cm
