This sweet nursery rhyme throw/blanket is perfect for a baby or toddler's room. It is a patchwork quilt with hand embroidered applique of the Jack and Jill nursery rhyme. It features Jack and Jill holding a bucket with a well and trees in the background and tulips in the foreground. The design and handiwork dates to the 1940's.

It measures 48" x 35".

The 2 1/2" border is all patchwork squares of different fabrics. It is finished with a 1 1/2" pale blue binding. It has a white background with multicolored cotton fabrics used in the patchwork and on Jack and Jill. There is handstitiching all around the applique. The back is plain white with a quilted look from the embroidery work showing through.


It is in great condition and freshly laundered. There is a small area near the top with faded spots (see where I circled them in the last picture).
