One of my favorite in my collection! Prissy but refined! This vintage cotton Duvet cover with matching long Euro discount case is quite elegant.
There is so much design and precision incorporated as we expect of Swiss perfection. The subtle damask arabesque patterns in the wide blue stripes, spaced with the precious pink rosebuds as well as a damask design variation in the white. And then there's the addition of the tiny fine thread of metallic gold highlighting all. Certainly created by a fine Swiss linen house.
The reverse side is as perfect as the front!
As usual with my lame photography skills, it's so much better in person!
Folded at the foot of the bed. so delightful to pull up over you like a cloud as you settle down for a nap. These were originally used in Europe as individual cover purposed to protect the more prized blankets or down duvets from body oils. This individual size is still used today, as body temperatures usually vary!
Duvet cover measures approx. 64" x 49" The long Euro sham measures 37" x 23"
Though found in excellent condition, I've laundered and ironed it for you to use right away.
