This is a two piece beautiful handmade ceramic African violet planter. The bottom piece is about 3 inches tall and about 7 inches across at the widest place. The insert which is only painted at the top is about 3 inches tall and about 5-3/4 inches across at the widest place. The planting area ( the unpainted part) is approx 4" across and approx. 2" deep. The bottom piece holds the water. The bottom part of the insert is not painted, so it will absorb the water in the bottom section. The violet plant gets just enough water. All you have to do is provide the place with the right amount of light. African Violets thrive in these planters. These planters are great for other plants also. Any plant that likes to stay moist would be great.

This set of 5 included 4 white/mother of pearl and 1 dark blue.
