The Medicine Buddha is the Buddha of healing and stands for mental and physical health.
He is particularly revered in Tibetan and Japanese Buddhism. Here he is called the "King of Healers"
and the "supreme healer".
According to the teachings of the Mayaran, he cures all diseases, especially those of the three spiritual poisons.
According to Buddhist teachings, mental poisons cause a dissatisfied mind and thus also physical and mental diseases.
The Bhaisajyaguru helps to cure these diseases. Before his enlightenment, Siddharta promised within the framework of twelve
Vows to free all the malformed, disabled and sick from their infirmities.
The definition of the three mental poisons:
1.Greed (Lobha)
The first poison of the mind is greed.Greed can also be understood as addiction or desire.
It is the desire for possession and power. Desire and thirst are strongly related to greed.
to Werden. This spiritual poison can be cleaned up through generosity, charity and donations.
2.Hatred (Dosa)
The second poison of the mind is hatred. Hatred is nothing more than anger and aggression.
Goodness and love have a healing effect here.
3.Veneering (Moha)
The third poison of the mind is delusion. It stands for ignorance or non-knowledge.
Ignorance is a mental poison that is considered a cause of suffering.
From this comes greed discount and hatred as other mental poisons. Only by purifying ignorance
or non-knowledge, the purification of the mind and thus wisdom takes place. Wisdom is therefore the basis
for the purification of all three spiritual poisons and thus that of a purified person.
