This listing is for a large alder tree slice. This beautiful slice has been completely dried and sanded smooth on both sides and still has the lovely bark around the edges. The slice is naturally dried, no discount chemicals were used.

The diameter is approx 51-53cm (approx.20"-21"). The slice is approx. 4.5-4.8 cm (approx.1.7"-1.9") thick.

If you choose a "varnished" option, you will get a slice covered with transparent, smell free, food safe varnish which will make the slice more durable and protect it from moisture and durt. You will be able to wipe the slice easily with a wet rag while using it.
