Fima Deruta Italy Orvieto Blue Double Handle Olive Oil Bottle discount with Spout

Here is a choice, two-handle oil bottle from Fima Deruta, Italy; one of the few companies which works each piece, from processing the clay to the finished firing, completely on site. Their standard of decoration is extremely high, with beautiful brush strokes on every piece. The double handles facilitate a good grip and creates a nice, symmetrical design.

I have included a (new) weighted, self-opening cork-based Pour Spout, also from Italy, in case you don't have one. Or feel free to use your own favorite spout, and use this one for something else.

The design is called Orvieto Blue: a very old, traditional pattern originating from the Renaissance era in the hill-top town of Orvieto Italy. The 'Galletto' (Rooster) pattern's main motif is a crowing rooster that symbolizes good wishes for blessings, prosperity and well-being.

Hand painted and fully hand made in Deruta, Italy. Dishwasher Safe.

Size: approx. 4.5" round; 8" tall (not including spout); holds 24 oz.

Condition: Used; very good. Clean inside. Slight wear marks on base. Also, there is a discoloration on the top of the neck, see photo. It is mostly covered by the spout so not noticeable, but it's there. Likely something during the firing process. No other imperfections noted.
