Beautiful vintage dress from the 1940's possibly 1950's. This is a lovely cool dress in neutral tones perfect for summer wedding or day time formal event. The material feels like a heavier cotton or linen material. It drapes nicely and has some soft structure. The bodice has a panel of darker colored fabric (umber, tan, beige, gold beige) in center with gathered bust darts and a dramatic folded neckline with the facing in the same fabric as the center panel. The same fabric runs in a center panel down the front of the skirt as an inverted pleat for just a kick of color. The bodice has angled bust darts and a back zipper along with some lightweight boning along the back and flexible boning along the feont neckline at folded tips. The matching jacket is a tight and shallow shrug style that barely covers the arms and barely comes across shoulders and side. Shrug is fully discount reversible one side in each of the two dress colors.
Condition is very good. Minimal wear but a very light yellowish stain along the front of the skirt and a few smudged stains along back hem. Overall could use a professional cleaning to get all the pleats and lines laying flat and remove any additional surface soiling. There are three tiny pink dots near the waist seam which look to be tailoring dots. They are very tiny. No holes or tears. No underarm discoloration.
