Kyocera Yashica J2 AF Compact Point and Shoot 35mm Film Camera with Quartz Date back and case - Very good discount condition and tested - c.1989
Launched in 1989, Yashica J2 AF is a 35mm film compact camera, made by Kyocera. It is also known as the Yashica Ninja Star II. It was a update to the previous Yashica AF-J / Yashica Ninja Star.
The discount camera features a razor sharp 32mm 1:3.5 Yashica lens. It has automatic exposure with shutter speeds 1/30 to 1/500 seconds, a built-in automatic electronic flashgun, an active infrared auto-focus, an optical viewfinder, automatic film transport. It can use DX-coded 35mm film with speeds from ISO 100 to 1600.
As this is the rare 'Date Back' version of the camera, this J2 allows the user to have the date stamped on their images, which is perfect for holiday snaps, memorable moments etc. Please note the 'Year' function only goes up to '19', but using '02' is a decent alternative for 2022.
This example is in very good condition and has been tested with film in the past week. It comes with brand-new batteries, plus a Yashica carry case and neck strap.
