Chinese carved boxwood figurine of Zhongli Quan discount

A hand carved boxwood figurine of Zhongli Quan, the oldest of the Eight Immortals and the group leader. The wood has developed a rich patina, especially on those areas which have been handled the most. There is a hole on the bottom, indicating it might have originally had a base. This figurine probably dates from the early to mid discount 20th century.
