This is a real "revealed" horse skull, which I sanded down to shows the internal parts of discount the teeth, sinuses and brain case.

As part of my commitment to sustainable sourcing and ecological practices and avoiding the use of dangerous chemical pollutants, this item was allowed to participate in the natural ecosystem until clean and degreased. Because of that it may have minor damage or discoloration - please review the photos carefully. Because this skull was never boiled, bleached, or soaked in harsh chemicals it's free of the microscopic structural damage seen in processed bones that leads to yellowing, filming, and eventual degradation over time. However I recommend buyers clean the skull with their method of choice if planning to display it indoors. I'm happy to help you find an option that's both environmentally friendly and won't harm your specimen.
The horse materials in my store are exclusively and sustainably sourced from farms local to me, from horses who passed either from natural causes (typically old age) or were humanely euthanized for quality of life reasons. These horses were much-loved pets, rescues, or ranch horses who received excellent care.
