I believe this beauty dates from the late 1940s to early 50s. It is made of fairly weighty rayon in deep navy, unlined, and iced with cotton lace in a pinky beige shade. Clear prong-set rhinestones dot the lace. The dress has a Queen Anne neckline. There are shoulder flanges. The skirt flares slightly, and below the lace pocket-like detail there's a wonderful fan of knife pleats. There is a side covered metal zipper. I believe the dress was commercially made, but there is no label.
Condition: Very good by my thinking. The back darts, going into the waist, were both altered to make the waist measure a little larger (final photos). There is no belt with the dress. discount
Size: XL, about a 18 by my estimate.
Bust-48"
Waist-39"

Top of shoulder to waist-16.25"
Waist to hem-29.75"
Shoulder to shoulder-17"
Please note: I measure the dimension of the item itself, and you will need to consider what size you would want the item to be to fit well on you.
