Inspired by the statue called "Melancholy", by Albert György in Geneva, Switzerland, these CHARMS/PENDANTS/FIGURINES represent GRIEF! This is grief. The hole in a grieving parent's heart (and body) lasts forever. We carry it with us always. John Maddox posted his powerful photo shown in photos #1 and #4, with the following quote, "We may look as if we carry on with our lives as before. We may even have times of joy and happiness. Everything may seem “normal”. But THIS, “Emptiness” is how we all feel... all the time. God Bless those who have lost a child."

These small 3-D figurines/charms are an interpretation of the emotion that Albert Gyorgy expressed in his statue/sculpture. They are made from copper or sterling silver and made discount "rustic" to emulate the original sculpture. Please note that these figurines/charms are made by the silversmiths at Salish Sea Gems, not by the sculptor Albert Gyorgy.
