The Berrytown Stitchery is a United States Marine Corps owned business created from a family tradition of making fine handmade quilts and other works of art. It started as a PTSD relieve hobby and blossomed into the company today. Each item is made with love and care complimented by knowing the happiness and expression of love they represent. The company was started to carry on the tradition of Lucy Biggers, my great grandmother and Berrytown resident in the city of Louisville Kentucky. She made each quilt with love and took her time to create them by heart. All discount by hand! Giving them to family members as tokens of heritage and the warmth of them coming from the heart. Today each quilt and other works of art are made to order as you desire following the same process she did, ensuring the same level of quality and longevity of the quilts.
It usually takes 2-3 days to create them and ship off. Sizes vary and each one is unique to the new recipients of this expression of love, happiness, and patriotism. They can be made and gifted for any occasion and we aim to ensure the end results are smiles and something that can be passed on from one generation to the next. In addition to the quilts, we make scarves, lap throws, and faux fur blankets. All can be made to your size and specifications, however we like to use the small, medium, large, and extra large sizing system. For certain sizes we couple them together with zippers so that they can be united when loved ones are sharing the same space and want to spend quality time together wrapped in warmth.
