Vintage 1960 Handmade Male Doll Made In Antigua All Cloth With Wooden "Steel Drum" Yellow Ruffled Sleeve Shirt

This handsome, handmade doll is from my parent's trip to Antigua while cruising on the USS Nassau cruise ship in 1960. He is in excellent condition.

His whole body is handmade out of sewn cloth except for his wooden "steel drum". He wears a straw hat with the words "Antigua" hand written in red ink. His costume is so detailed. He wears a purple shirt tied in a knot at the waist. His sleeves are yellow ruffled, draped fabric. From his elbow to his wrist. the fabric is all yellow with a cuff at the wrist.

10 1/2" Tall.

His face and hair are so well done. Hand painted and so engaging. His straw hat is fitted with multi colored straw at top.

The steel drum is fastened around his shoulders by beige folded fabric with two nails on each side of the wood. The drum is hollowed discount out. 2 1/2" x 2 1/2". Hand painted to truly be a Antigua steel drum.

So unique and such an amazing construction.

This doll is just perfect.
