Green glazed terracotta Ming Dynasty hollow-moulded courtly tomb figure stands on a raised hexagonal base. Clad in a ankle-length garment with wide sleeves, left hand held to his chest. The head is unglazed, and have been separately and individually crafted, perhaps to reflect individuals in the service of the owner. This is loose-fitted into the recess in the neck. Figurines of this sort were placed in the Tombs of aristocrats to provide comfort and gifts discount for the afterlife. Stands approximately 14” tall. Last picture added for reference. This is a very expensive and sought after Chinese antique!.
