A beautiful retired James Avery Sterling Silver "Sorrento" style bracelet. This piece features a detailed scrollwork central placard and a hook style closure. Hallmarked and signed with the James Avery candelabra which is the older style marking. In fine vintage condition. 6 1/2" around ( size is Not Adjustable due to style). James Avery was born in 1921 and after Pearl Harbor was bombed on his 20th birthday he joined the Army Air Force where he flew discount 44 missions over Germany. He later became a teacher before deciding to follow his passion for jewelry making in 1954 opening a shop out of his in-laws garage with 250 dollars. The rest is pretty amazing history!.
