The K-series of Upsala Ekeby discount ceramics is a typical example of the Swedish Art Deco style also known as "Swedish Grace". The clearly art-deco relief is rendered subtle and ethereal by a thick layer of light green glaze contrasting sharpling against spots where the warm brown of the earthenware base is exposed.
The bottom is marked K3.
Condition: Very good. The glaze is pinpricked (a production flaw) in some places but i have not been able to locate any sign of it being a factory second or otherwise deemed inferior.
Size: 16 x 14 centimeters or 6 1/3 x 5 1/2 inches.
