discount Original antique hand-colored engraving of the "Creeper from the East Indies" with butterflies by George Edwards. Published in London in 1802 as part of George Edwards masterful work “A Natural History of Uncommon Birds." The plates for this 1802 publication were created using much larger hand-laid paper sheets than earlier editions. It is an original antique engraving that was water colored by hand over 200 years ago.

Approx. 11-1/2" x 19" (sheet size)
Condition:
There is a streak mark in the top margin not affecting the printed area, but otherwise very good. Lovely original hand color.
It will be packaged in a sealed plastic sleeve and, given its large size, will ship rolled within a tubular mailer for protection.
