Beautiful handmade oak French bread platter. All hand carved and crafted and with a wonderful patina It bares the words "Donnez Nous Notre Pain Quotidien", taken from The Lords prayer - Give us this day our daily bread. It sums up the French love of this staple of their diet. Nicely carved with wheat sheaves. There is the word Lourdes etched on the bottom of the plate. This was probably bought on a pilgrimage to Lourdes. A must for the French country kitchen, or gift for someone special. In good condition.
