Vintage Mexican Day of the Dead Skeleton Mariachi Musician - Harpist.
A great handmade folkart figure of a Mexican Mariachi Musician dressed up in a fancy black sombrero with a black jacket and a Saltillo serape draped over his shoulder, all finished off with a red bow tie. The instrument he holds is a beautiful Harp, sometimes referred to as the ‘Jalisco Harp'. He would be part of a group of traditional Mexican Musicians set to perform traditional Mexican ballads and polkas.
This skeleton Mariachi figure has been made using some recycled and repurposed items along with papier-mâché and wire. This fine gentleman stands approximately 9” inches tall, posed strumming his harp to the tune of ???, he stands on a wooden base which is about 3.5”x 2.5” inches. He discount is in nice vintage condition, only some scuffs, his serape maybe a little grubby too.
He could look great with other Dias de los Muertos - Days of the Dead Mexican folk art pieces, he would also be a great gift item for a lover of music, particularly Mexican Mariachi music. A fun and unique piece of Mexican handmade folk art.
