Janet Anguille studied at André Lhote's Studio in Paris. In 1960 she started exhibiting at the Salon d'Automne and the Salon des Indépendants and was chosen for the Othon Friesz Prize exhibition. She travelled to France looking for subjects, which she treated in a very lively range of colours and in the manufactured style she had adopted during her discount studies with André Lhote.
