Measuring 40.5 cm or 16" inches Long-A truly Stunning Piece

***The pretty central feature is two pretty leaves and a flower tied with a bow.***

This stunning necklace is a Lavalier style. The necklace measures 40.5 cm or just over 16 inches in length and the entire central feature is articulated and measures approx. 12.5cm (Approx. 4" 7/8" inches) across and the central drop measures approx. 4cm long (Approx. 1" & 9/16" inches), At its longest point.

This beautiful elegant necklace is made of solid sterling silver and stamped "SIL" for sterling silver on the back. It is an articulated necklace with a central piece connected to two more links either side, these are all part of the central feature. This then connects to the beautiful sterling silver chain. The central feature is mounted with marcasites and all are present.

A lavalier or lavaliere or lavalliere is an item of jewellery consisting of a pendant, sometimes with one stone, suspended from a necklace.
The style was popularized by the Duchesse de la Vallière, a mistress of King Louis XIV of France. A lavalier can be recognized most for its drop (that usually consist of a stone and/or a chandelier type of drop) which is attached to the chain and not attached by a bail

* This lovely Necklace is sterling silver, it is marked/stamped "SIL" on the back of the centre piece and "Sterling" on the clasp - you can see this in the last photos.

* Its clasp is in excellent working condition. I could not see any damage to this necklace it is in wonderful vintage condition. There are a few barely visible marks to the silver and/or stones which you would expect from vintage jewellery, but they are not obvious. An excellent condition vintage necklace. It has lovely patina which I think accentuates the pattern of the piece.
* The necklace will come in the lovely gift box pictured or one similar.
