Vintage Stained Glass Ornate Jeweled Bird – Christmas – Holiday Decoration- Handmade with Love (approx. 9” by 12”)
“Christmas Treasure” is one of my early creations. It is more than thirty-five years old. This ornate holiday bird is adorned with eight glass jewels: two large crimson red and six small green jewels. This is definitely a beautiful stained glass treasure. I constructed this Stained Glass creation using the Tiffany method. The edges of each piece of hand cut glass were wrapped with copper foil tape. The puzzle was soldered together, and a black patina was applied to the solder lines.
Stained Glass never fades because the colors are embedded during the glass manufacturing process. For example, cobalt is used for blue discount and chrome for green.
