For years I have been collecting images. I'm very, very visual. Images of the past and present. With a preference for images from before 2000. Calendars, magazines and even books. But no photocopies or printouts. These are original images. I like beautiful images and I am interested in everything. Photography, technological evolution, television and film stars, song artists, animals, children and many other fields. I am a passionate person and I was looking for a new passion. discount I found it and at the same time I realized a dream: To find a use for my collection.

The collage appeared to me as a revelation. I relied on my artistic flair. I am fortunate to have a suitable workshop to express what these images inspire me. Given the very large amount of images, the decision to make paintings with theme seemed the right one for me.

And it was important for me to recycle. I've always done it. Yes, I sometimes buy new white canvases but if I can use an old cardboard billboard I will do it. In these cases, I keep the ad on one side and a collage on the other. I recycle everything that can be recycled and is adequate. It is my trademark. I have been doing this for a long time. I did it with fur, with packaging products etc. It's like second nature. I also recycle oil portraits I made a few years ago by adding collages.

With collage comes cutting. I sometimes feel like I'm going back to childhood because I have so much fun doing that. Here's a bit of how I work:

I use a glue that I make myself without chemicals. At the collage stage, I am not stingy with images. They are the ones who inspire me. And I try to create the connections and work with the colors as well. I like to add a touch of gold or other color paint. The whole is covered with an acrylic varnish of excellent quality. Most collages will need to be framed. The frame is not provided but we suggest a metal frame of one inch (2.5cm) or less black color or color of your choice. Some collages are on a wooden base. They can be directly hung on the wall. See the description of the table.

As it is a handmade item, it is very possible that there are imperfections. Small take-offs, a curve in the cardboard (which disappears after the framing). small bubbles or folds (especially for large images), relief, dark circles on the back or other defects. In general, the images hold up well. The painting is redone if necessary. The surface is washable with a soft cloth.
