E Preston and Sons 12 Inch Walnut and Brass Level Nice Condition discount Good Vial

This is a very nice E Preston and sons 12 Inch bench level with brass plates top and bottom. The brass top plate is marked "Warranted Correct" and has fancy hand filed openings to show the intact vial. It is stamped "E. PRESTON and SONS" with the "EP" trademark. The wood looks like English black walnut to me, but Preston used many different hardwoods including discount mahogany and other dark hardwoods so I could be wrong. It measures about 12 inches long overall, 1 1/8 wide and 1 1/4 high. I will ship free to U.S. addresses USPS priority mail
