Antique discount large art nouveau german hammered brass dog head cigarette cigar box

Antique, Large, Art Nouveau discount, German, hammered brass, footed Cigarette or Cigar Box with raised relief images of 2 Weimeraner dog heads. Truly a unique piece. The box measures 6 1/4" long by 4 1/2" deep and is 3" high. The inside is lined with wood. The lid has a fitted wood liner that closes neatly over the base liner and is fastened to the lid with four brass bolts and nuts. Nice hammered brass exterior accented with tiny beaded trim and carefully patinated to allow the raised highlights of the design to stand out. Ball-shaped brass feet on all four bottom corners. Made in Germany. In very good condition with only slight wear - see photos for details. A stunning item for a dog lover, admirer of Art Nouveau/Art & Crafts or hand made pieces.
