This wax painting is a very romantic piece, perfect as a gift for newlyweds, anniversaries, or just any happy couple that you adore (including you!).
These paintings are not like normal paintings, they are encaustic wax art. I make them from melted crayons! I decided to paint the canvas black first for this special look. I designed this silhouette of a girl couple standing under an umbrella in the rain. I then cut it from a light toned vinyl to add to your piece before slinging the wax. It's not pure white. They share the umbrella, making a statement for the whole piece.
I imitate rain by dripping hot wax all over my canvas. It can be a very trying process sometimes, but I have fun working on them. The rain is made of different contrasting colors, depending on which option you choose. This will look great on any wall color and will definitely be a conversation piece for guests.
What I love about this design is the angled rain. Most of my other designs have rain coming straight down around the couple. With this one I tilt the canvas to just the right angle before dropping the wax. It's a bit more challenging, but the effects are mesmerizing.

Canvas is stretched on wood and measures 16" x 20" (approximately).
It will look great on any wall color and will definitely be a conversation piece for guests.
It's lightweight and is easily hung on 1 or 2 small nails. Signed on the side.
If you want to pick your own color combination that isn't listed, please select "personalized colors" and leave up to 5 colors in the note to seller when you purchase. Any color of crayon that you can find in a 64 crayon box, I can put into your artwork. Very lightweight, can be hung with a small nail.

I will make creative decisions about the sizing, fonts, and placement of the text. If you would like a short phrase added instead, please message me ahead of time. I cut the text out of the same sturdy vinyl as the silhouette, so it looks flawless! It would be a light color against the black background so that there is a contrast.

If you are looking for a special customization that is not listed, please let me know in advance before you buy so I can work with you! Any additional customization of the silhouette will cost more. I have done many customized pieces over the years and I love doing it.
