Hand-carved old wooden handloom with signs of age and actual use, for weaving long strips of cotton textile, eventually making large wraps or blankets. This is a vintage weaving loom used for making kente, mud-cloth, and other west African hand weaved cloths. The wood shows a beautiful patina and looks lovely displayed on the stand. Most likely it was used by the Baule discount tribe from Ivory Coast. Comes with a display stand. Baule peoples or related ethnic groups, Cote D'Ivoire, West Africa. The loom is approximately 9 inches high and 9 inches wide but the display stand is 13 inches high.
