Chinese Bowl with Lid - Red Mun Shou Famille Rose Longevity Pattern Jingdezhen factory porcelain bought in China in 1980. This 7.25" diameter rose-pink bowl & lid are meticulously hand-painted with a traditional Chinese longevity design of 4 circles inscribed with the Chinese characters Wan, Shou, Wu, & Jiang meaning “May you have ten thousand longevities without boundary.” No cracks, crazing, or repairs. There is a tiny chip under the rim of the lid. (last photo) These pieces are hand painted, so minor imperfections & inconsistencies must be expected. There is a tiny black speck inside the bowl & one by the imprint, and there is a small gray mark about 1/16" long on the bowl's rim. (11th photo) NOTE - These were bought together, as best I recall. The lid perches atop the bowl without a shaped rim. It could also be used with a larger bowl and sit down in the bowl as some do. From my smoke-free, fragrance-free, pet-free home.
