These collars are only to be used for walking your dog..it is not safe to leave your dog unattended with a martingale collar on
for collars that need to be left on you would need a house / tag collar or regular Clip Collar

MARTINGALE COLLARS were originally used for Sighthounds or other types with smaller heads than necks eg. Greyhounds and whippets etc, however they have become very popular now for large breed dogs as you can have more control when your dog pulls because of the tightening effect this collar has .these collars come with 2 loops , one where the head goes in and the smaller one which is where your lead is connected

HALF CHECK / CHAIN MARTINGALE COLLARS are very similar to the above collars except it has a chain instead of a coordinating extender, this is discount not a choke chain as such.

HOUSE COLLARS / TAG COLLARS these collars are like a martingale except they only have one loop and thats where their head goes in, once in you have to adjust it to fit your dogs neck they do not have a D ring to connect a lead to as they are purely a house collar but you can fix your tags to the loops . it also can stay on as well as your martingale as these are usually 1” wide but 1.5” and 2” are also available

Washing Instructions
I recommend hand washing your collar in gentle fabric wash at about 30 degrees or less and hanging out to dry..I would not tumble dry.
Please Note that after the 1st wash the scotchguard will need to be reapplied.
