This listing is for a custom family or couple portrait with a summer backdrop created by illustrator Joelle Gebhardt (www.joellegebhardt.com). These portraits are unique to each family. They make a great alternative to a photo for a wedding invitation or other events or simply as decoration for at home. Size of family can be selected in the dropdown menu.

Illustration Method:

The portraits are drawn by hand with ink, then scanned and coloured digitally. In the end, you'll receive a high resolution file that can be printed at a desired size and also a file for online usage.

Here's how it works:
1.) Send me a photo or two that you would like the portrait from
2.) Let me know if you want any specific theme incorporated into the portrait such as colours, certain clothing... I can be creative with it, as long as I have a good photo or photos to work from.
3.) Then I make the portrait!

I do make sure that the portraits look very similar to the people, with the correct hair colour, facial features, stature, and clothing, but it is still my artistic interpretation and not a direct copy of the photo.

Up to 2 revisions (with minor changes) are included in the price. If more revisions or larger revisions are required due to a change in your idea after I have already made the finished portrait, I may charge an extra fee for time.

HOW LONG?

From start to finish the portrait takes 10-14 business days depending on the number of people in the portrait, my current workload and how many revisions need to be made.

CUSTOM DESIGN REFUNDS:
Up to 24 hours after your order I can issue a full refund, after 24 hours it will depend on how much time has already gone into the portrait. If I have not started working on your design, then I will issue a 100% refund.
