Gladys Brown Edwards was known for her studied and realistic interpretation of the horse in cast plated Metalware, Gladys Brown has been working alongside the Ray E. Dodge Company Forge producing these pieces since 1937. The complex composition process starts with a mixture of metal alloys which is then electroplated with a thin layer of copper. Many companies reproduced copper sculptures around this same era. Gladys Brown Edwards started this trend of high quality copper sculptures.
